Imports text from external files. Supported file formats include: ASCII text files, RTF files, HTML files, other Personal Knowbase files, Cardfile format files, delimited text files, CSV files, and custom formatted text files. One or more files may be imported. For more information on how each file type is treated, see Results of Importing Files.

 

Select the name of the file to import using the Import Dialog Box. Select keywords to assign to all imported articles using the Keywords for Imported Articles Dialog Box.

 

Imported articles are automatically opened unless the Open Imported Articles option is turned off in the Import tab of the Preferences Dialog Box (File Menu).

 

This command is only available if a data file is open. To create a new data file, use the New Command (File Menu). To open an existing data file, use the Open Command (File Menu).
