Searches for a specified text string in the current data file and allows you to replace occurrences of the string with a replacement string. Type the string you want to find in the Find What edit box and the replacement string in the Replace With edit box. Select the Find button to search the specified range of articles.
If the Search Range contains multiple articles (not Current Article), Personal Knowbase first searches the range for the articles containing the Find What string and displays the article titles in the Index Window's Titles column. You may also specify a date range to restrict the results.
Then each article in the range is displayed in an Article Window, and you are given the option of replacing each occurrence of the string. As each article is finished and closed, it is saved to the data file.
As each occurrence of the Find What string is highlighted, you may either:
• | Select the Find button to proceed to the next occurrence without replacing the string. |
• | Select the Replace button to replace the highlighted string with the Replace With string and then proceed to the next occurrence. |
• | Select Close to abort the replace process. |
