Assigning Keywords by Dragging
You can assign keywords to articles by dragging the keywords from one list to another. To assign keywords to articles from the Index Window:
• | Drag one or more keywords from the Index or Selected column into the Keywords list in the Article Window. |
• | Drag one or more keywords from the Preview Pane into the Keywords list in the Article Window. |
• | Drag one or more keywords from the Index column into the Titles column of the Index Window itself, which assigns the keyword(s) to all highlighted articles in the column. To assign the keywords to ALL articles listed in the Titles column, first highlight all of the titles using the Select All Command (Edit Menu). |
You can also copy keywords between articles by dragging them from the Keywords list in one Article Window to another.
Modifying Keywords for Multiple Articles
You can modify the keyword lists, either assigning or deleting keywords, for multiple articles at once by using the Change Keywords for Article Command (Keyword Menu). This command appears as Change Keywords for Highlighted Articles when in the pop-up menu for the Titles column or the Preview Pane when it is showing keywords.
First, highlight the titles of the articles that you want to modify. Then select this command to edit the set of keywords which are common to all highlighted articles. See Change Keywords for Article Command (Keyword Menu) for more information.
