Customizing the Index Window

You can customize the Index Window in several ways. It can be resized in the normal Windows manner and can be minimized and maximized. Following are some additional changes you can make to the Index Window.

To resize the columns of the Index Window:

•	The Index column may be resized by dragging on the right edge of the column when the resize cursor appears.

•	The Selected column may be resized by moving the separator between the Selected column and the Titles column, when the movement cursor appears.

•	The Keyword Groups column may be resized by moving the separator between the Keyword Groups column and the Index column, when the movement cursor appears.

To reduce the size of the Index Window to show only the Titles column:

•	Select the Keywords Lists command from the View menu.

The Index Window now shows only the titles of the currently listed articles.

To make more space for article titles in the Titles column, you can remove the dates/times or indicator icons:

•	Select the Preferences command from the File menu.

•	From the Titles List box, remove the checks from any of the checkboxes to remove the corresponding item from the Titles column.

•	Select the OK button.

To change the color in which the dates or titles appear in the Titles column:

•	Select the Preferences command from the File menu.

•	From the Titles List box, select a new Color for Titles or Color for Dates.

•	Select the OK button.

To add or remove the Preview Pane below the Titles column:

•	Select one or both of the options for the Preview Pane command from the View menu.

To remove the Preview Pane, un-select the checked option(s) for this command.

•	To change the background color for the Preview Pane, select the Preferences command from the File menu and select a new color from the Preview Pane Background Color menu.
