Bitsmith Software is a privately-owned mISV (micro independent software vendor), established in 1994.
We are located in Pinole, California, a suburban community located somewhere between Berkeley and the Napa Valley. We are just far enough from Silicon Valley to avoid the worst of the traffic and just close enough to have access to some great computer stores.
Bitsmith Software primarily sells over the Internet and serves customers in 63 countries around the world.

We specialize in Windows-based tools for organizing data. Our flagship product, Personal Knowbase, is a freeform notes organizer. Personal Knowbase was first released in 1998 on CompuServe. We use Personal Knowbase extensively ourselves and so designed it for everyday, practical use.
