If the currently active window is an Article Window and the Clipboard contains text data, the Paste command inserts a copy of the Clipboard contents into the article at the cursor location. If text is currently selected in the article, this text is replaced by the Clipboard contents.
If the current active window is the Index Window and the Clipboard contains Personal Knowbase article data, the Paste command inserts a copy of the Clipboard contents into the current data file.
To paste text without any formatting or with a specific format option, use the Paste Special Command (Edit Menu). If you are using the Paste command and the results are not being formatted as you expect, try the different options under the Paste Special command.
This command is not available if the Clipboard is empty or if the current contents of the Clipboard are not compatible with the Personal Knowbase window.
To access this command quickly, select the Paste button from the Standard Toolbar.
The keyboard shortcut Ctrl+V performs this command. To place data in the Clipboard, use the Cut Command (Edit Menu) or the Copy Command (Edit Menu).
