Formatting an Article

The article's content text may be fully formatted. All other text uses the file's default font, including text in the Index Window and report windows, as well as the title, keywords, and date in the Article Window. To change the file's default font, see Changing a File's Default Font.

 

To format article content text for display and printing:

 

Make sure that the Article Window is open.

 

If the Article Window is not open, double-click on the article's title in the Titles column of the Index Window. Refer to the procedure for Entering New Information to create a new article.

 

Select the portion of text that you want to format by dragging the mouse cursor across it.

 

Select the Font command from the Format menu.

 

The Font dialog box is displayed.

 

From the Font list box, select a font name from the list of installed fonts.

 

The sample text reflects your choices.

 

In the Font Style list box, specify if you want to boldface or italicize the text.

 

From the Size list box, select a size for your text.

 

From the Color menu, select a color for your text.

 

Click the OK button.

 

Your chosen font is applied to the selected text.

 

NOTE:The Formatting Toolbar provides convenient shortcut buttons for several of the options in the Font dialog box for formatting article text, including Font name, Font Size, Bold, Italic, Underline, Strikeout, and Color.
