The original data file was damaged or truncated. In rare situations, a data file can become corrupted following a Windows crash or abnormal restart which happens while the file is open. Personal Knowbase has attempted to repair the damage and to recover damaged articles. This report shows the results of the repair.
After the file is fixed, please check your data carefully. Sometimes some affected articles may be totally or partially missing.
This dialog box appears when damaged articles are found running the Compact command (File Menu).
Report Results
Articles Recovered
This is the number of articles which were undamaged and were completely recovered. These articles are written to the "recovered data" file.
Articles Partially Recovered
This is the number of articles which were damaged but which Personal Knowbase attempted to recover. These articles are written to the "partially recovered articles" file. Please review these articles, as parts of these articles may be lost.
Articles Lost
This is the number of articles which are totally lost. Personal Knowbase knows they existed from the header of your data file, but was unable to find them at all in the original data file.
Keywords Recovered
This is the number of keywords which were found undamaged in the data file.
Keywords Lost
This is the number of keywords which are totally lost. Personal Knowbase knows they existed from the header of your data file, but was unable to find them at all in the original data file.

This is the name of the damaged or truncated data file which you started with.
The recovered data file was saved as
This is the name of the data file where Personal Knowbase wrote the undamaged articles, keywords, bookmarks, and properties.
The partially recovered articles were saved as
This is the name of the file where Personal Knowbase wrote the damaged but partially recovered articles.
